As of this writing, I've played 492 moments (8.2 hours) in Retail and 1713 minutes (28.5 hours) at wow classic gold. 17-18 was a pain point; the zones I had been questing in were equally stuffed and it took me some time to complete quest objectives. I also spent time leveling up careers. I struck Lvl 20 in Retail more than 3x quicker than I attained the same aim in Classic.
In Classic WoW, perform quests in classes or the best method to increase your leveling speed would be to level in dungeons. The relatively short time I spent going from 18-19 and 19-20 is because I conducted Deadmines at the first case and booted up with individuals to do quests in the second. In Retail, it scarcely matters. Hitting dungeons is a good way to understand how and get some quests from the way, however you don't have to do it. Paladins and our buffs have more fans and unique effects that no class has, respectively. We can give incentives to attack electricity and mana regeneration, reduce the damage taken by physical attacks, reduce the threat other classes create, transfer harm taken by other classes to ourselves, and buff the resistances of different courses (and ourselves) to various irreparable harm. I'm still missing the majority of these abilities at Level 20, however I cast those I have always. Running round the world and buffing random folks is just one of the joys of Classic WoW and people frequently return the favor, even though our buffs are short (5 minutes).
In Retail WoW, each class has much fewer abilities and the abilities to buy gold classic wow you've got are tied much more closely to your specific spec.
