Have you ever wondered why many people appear to have all of the luck, although some people appear to always struggle? Everyone knows somebody that is always needing some help. Regardless of how much you attempt to help them out, they always end up in the same location these were before help arrived. Maybe you have looked at who their friends were? Who are they going to to obtain advice from? I was talking to a friend of mine a few days ago relating to this and that he explained something that just made the truth of the items he explained so surreal. He told me, and that i quote "Never take advice from someone you wouldn't trade places with." Now we all know there are several individuals who might argue this little nugget of data, however for argument sake lets explore that saying just for a minute.
When you are in a situation where you are trying to find advice, That do you want to? Is it someone who examines each side from the coin or someone who will affiliate with you if you are in the wrong. Within my own experience, I have been told I was wrong about a situation I had been in or even the way I was dealing with it. I might not have access to liked the fact that they did not side with me but I'm glad these were honest with me. Will the person whom you went to have issues of their very own? Are they struggling financially? Will they always seem to be coping with the same thing over and over again. I don't know about you, But when I am going for advice I wish to go to someone who has their property in order. If you know what I mean. If you are trying to make a modification of your life, Why would you visit somebody that is in worse shape than you? That wouldn't seem sensible.

So with that thought in mind, Lets turn that thought over to getting your own business.
In business you want to gain knowledge from the best right? You want your "Go to guy" to become somebody that is knowledgeable in the field they are in. Or at the very least they are by having an organization or business that has a lot of support and education to teach you what exactly are trying to learn. Additionally you want somebody that you are able to contact and speak with. How often have you got the run-around having a telephone call. Stuffed to deal with your problems so you constantly get transferred to someone else. This isn't how business ought to be looked after.

If you are in business on your own, you need exactly the same thing. You need a "go to guy". Even if you're an authority with the business you're running, you still need advice from time to time. Who would you visit? I've learned through the years to find positive people who has a great lifestyle. They are pleased with their life and like to help others arrive at the devote their life that they are trying to find. Lets face it, I may be an authority at certain facets of my business but have a weakness in other areas. So Its nice to have people who are prepared to assist you.
Here comes the moment of truth
I've told you the type of people I am going to for advice. I've discussed the kind of people you most likely find for advice. So allow me to ask you a moment of truth question. Are you the kind of person that others come to for advice? Do people value what you have to say? Would you tell them what they want to listen to just to have them as a friend? Whenever you do give another person advice, Is it advice that makes them wish to act out in revenge towards another person? That's not healthy. Keeping a positive attitude and understanding that their are a couple of sides to each coin is when I combat every situation I'm in. Understanding that the only method I'm able to truly enable them to would be to consider what they're saying and never being quick to evaluate the situation before processing things i have just heard. There has even been times which i have been listening to a friend let me know whats going on in their life and requested advice and i have had to tell them to let me think about it and obtain back to them with my head.
One more thing to consider when helping someone out. I have went to people for advice about a situation and they have acted like their way was the only way. If I chose to choose another way, I would obtain the "I said so" reply if my decision was the incorrect one. Do not be like that towards others. If somebody involves me for advice either about business or personal I tell them what I think, then provide them with my suggestions. I may even tell them what happened in my life via a similar situation. But always remember that whatever you are trying to do is help them with YOUR advice, wisdom, and suggestions. That doesn't mean that the way should be followed.
