Portivo relax at Gloucester Quays
Turning up for brunch at the new bar at Gloucester Quays and it is clear they are trying to offer different things. We had arrived met with leather armchairs, An awesome music soundtrack, Trendy mismatched kitchen tables and a menu which serves all food from morning to night.
The owners say its relaxed feel is all about letting the customers decide how that they use the space and in the time were in there, We saw examples of just that with people ordering furniture from a bacon sarnie and a cuppa to a pint of Guinness(The sun was approximately the yardarm I think
We got there mid morning and suitable away dived on the breakfast menu. It is as varied as its different shabby chic mirrors on the walls with plenty available including steak and eggs and the Lounge Champion breakfast, Which along with chorizo no less, Plus sweeter options such as buttermilk hot cakes and organic muesli.
I went for the Lounge eggs which was a twist on eggs Benedict with two superbly poached eggs on an English muffin with lashings of hollandaise sauce and smoked salmon.
