Best app to improve English vocabulary quickly?

Hey everyone! I’ve been studying English for a while, but my biggest struggle is remembering new words. I learn a list, then two days later, I forget half of it. I’ve tried everything — flashcards, writing words in notebooks, even sticking post-its all over my apartment. It works for a bit, but it’s so hard to stay consistent. I need something that keeps me engaged, maybe something with fun exercises or that uses repetition in a smart way. Ideally, an app that doesn’t feel like a boring textbook. Has anyone here found an effective way to expand vocabulary and actually retain what you learn long-term?

Oh man, I’ve been there too. I felt like I was collecting words but never using them. What made a huge difference for me was finding an app that uses active recall and spaced repetition but in a really fun, interactive way. I started using https://apps.apple.com/us/app/vocabloo/id6748016802 and honestly, it’s been a game-changer. The app doesn’t just make you memorize words — it teaches them through examples, context, and little quizzes that adapt to your level. Plus, it’s not time-consuming; I do 10–15 minutes a day, usually before bed. After a few weeks, I noticed I could recall words without thinking twice. It’s kind of addictive, but in a good way.
