Let's face it... mindless clicking to level some skills to 99 was already bad enough but if you wanted RS gold then that is what you did. Besides gaining some items to show off such as capes and the like... titles... yada-yada-yada... being around the top page of the hi-scores table... or about the individual skills tables meant you were"the top" and should be worshipped.
Or at least be highly thought of. Adults understood it was just hours of your actual life spent in a game clicking away ad nauseam. Anyone remember Zezima worship? I sure as hell do and I hate that guy's name after all these years! I saw him at a lender ONE SINGLE TIME back around 2006 and it was pitiful! OMG occasions three!! Receive a lifetime nooblets!
The point is that in many ways a number of the skills became worthless once you attained a certain level though I shall concede Jagex made some kind of effort to change that over time with fresh content. The thought was to make them fun or at least for there to be a stage. Observation: a lot of that content was pointless or downright stupid! Oops!
So much for change. In any case, simply because there's new content doesn't mean it'll be fun or rewarding buy OSRS gold in even a small measure. Additionally, it may only be installed for uber fast leveling up so that all the crybabies will be pacified. Believe Divination skill here... and the principal mini-game created for fast leveling. All it was there to do was to allow people to reach a 99 ASAP.
