Crossover concept highlights the brads future direction; the Ssang Yong SiV 1 guns for a more premium image.
Ssang Yong has shown the world its SiV 1 Concept at Geneva 2013. The Ssang Yong Korando was a huge improvement on South Korean firm's earlier cars and this new crossover or CUV aims to lead the styling direction of their future models. They're clearly gunning for a more premium feel and we think it's actually quite handsome. It could help improve the brands image somewhat and may steal some sales from Nissans Quashqai and Kia's Sportage.
Ssang Yong have released a few details and say a production ready car will get the choice of a 202bhp 1.6-litre turbo petrol and a 148bhp 1.6-litre turbo diesel, both available with a six-speed manual or duel-clutch 'box. If cheap cars are the future, we may well see more SSang Yong's on our roads.
