Too many things didn't add up for me and the writing was of such poor quality that I couldn't get past the fifth chapter. I was also quite shocked to find out that the sexual nature of the book is one of dominance and BDSM , two things that I don't find attractive or a turn on. Maybe the books get better as they go, however, I won't be one to read them and tell you.
Reviewers of this book seem torn between the level of erotica the story actually reaches. Some say that it is deeply illicit, almost pornographic, while others deem the novel fairly ordinary in terms of sexuality and sexual practices. I'll wait until I've read the book before I form my own opinion. I will be borrowing this book from the library and using it as a vacation read.
