Without moisture, mold can't grow; however, when an area becomes damp, mold may take hold after as little as 48 hours. Use soap and water to take out as much fungi as feasible. Have a vaccum which has a heppa filter. The usage of standard electric fans is not advisable as fanning can cause the mold spores to spread and contaminate mid-air.
