Jagex knows how addicting the runescape game can be, and the number of runescape players have been already grabbed by the balls. That's the reason why they can place in MTX and earn a profit. But that profit is only going to be short-term for all of the reasons you stated.I'm a long term childhood runescape player, but I quit between 2011-2016 and frankly those were some of the best years of my life. As much as I love runescape game, you hit the nail on the head, and I'm well prepared to quit back, the runescape game is performing good and may last long duration, however if they want to milk it dry for short term cash, and cater to the new-age cover to acquire community, which completely undermines the whole RS history of a grindy match, I'm out.
We live in an age where P2W is your norm, can we just have one game in which you actually need to git gud, put time and not be a pussy bitch with a charge card? To those who want P2W and MTX? I feel like there's some kind of link to the"Get Gud" mindset of Dark Souls/Soulsborne runescape players. They don't have room to come up with and cater to these drama styles. The constant internal chaos that is caused by the runescape games layout brings us both the immense pressure which can be placed on the runescape player and the rush of that reward when you reach your objective. I think learning how to play Soulsborne games is similar since it can be so disheartening and it makes people without a genuine appreciation for the how to buy gold on runescapeworld design, gameplay and art render.
