Once protecting the towers, weapons are deployed and PSO2 Meseta have to be shielded to breach the castle at the opposite end of the field. Once it is breached, everyone has to make their way to the boss -- the castle itself. Buster Quests get gradually harder as their level can be built up such as Extreme Quests. Of course, new quests mean new things, however there are also new medals to be earned and a new store to go along with them.
There's loads of fresh material with Episode 5 to help keep players busy, and the narrative is back to being centered around ARKS and fighting with the Dark Falz. Alongside these exciting new features, new things and Scratch Tickets are also out, and fresh Urgent Quests will be on the way to freshen up things in PSO2. There are still many details to be revealed as time goes , but some major things like battle and the world are much clearer. Hiro Arai from Sega was live for nearly an hour to show footage off of gameplay and also speak about what new items are on the road. Not much was said about the present game as well as the update coming alongside NG's release aside from the graphic update, which will be looking fantastic.
Maps are no more divided up into areas with loading screens. NG will have an entirely open world in the home base to the field. The TGS footage showed off a gorgeous new world that is a significant upgrade from the current game. Blades of grass blow in the end, lush forests lie on the opposite side of valleys and frosty mountains can be seen in the distance. Arai cites that distinct regions can be attained easily by simply traversing the world.
It seems like that is the world Naberious in the present game, with woods being next to tundra and other regions. Areas are still technically divided up, but there's no loading between these. While it has not been directly mentioned, an open world such as this suggests there might not be single party areas anymore. Most shown in the footage were multi-party areas where there were other gamers. The cap for multi-party places continues to be reduced to eight down from twelve at the present PSO2, but that you see will differ from area to area.
Weather is creating a better comeback as it affects dynamically and may affect the battlefield, even though the size of the effect was not spoken of. Time may also change, and footage showed some nice touches like fireflies in the forests at night. There's no word on fast travel, mounts or vehicles nevertheless, but Sega has implemented some new ways for players to move quickly across this new universe. Players will have the ability to run faster after a dodge both in and out of cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta combat. A blue streak follows underfoot, so you will know you're doing it right once you watch it.
