Player development is complete garbage

  • What is crazy is every time I talk to people that play 2K, not madden about how dope the 2K franchise is, they think it is not something special. It is kind of Madden nfl 21 coins authentic if you don't compare it into madden tbh. 2k has set the specific same MyLeague over and over again for decades and have not fixed gamebreaking problems with it. The same as Madden that the cpu cannot manage contracts for shit so 99% of the nba is 70 million at the luxury tax following 2 seasons. Service is stupid. Bol Bol played his rookie year on my team, did not play one minute, and requested for 25 mil that offseason.

Player development is complete garbage. It is one hundred percent based on a players"potential feature" instead of generation. 2k has great depth but the fundamentals are so fucked that the match style becomes a shitshow following like 2 seasons. Didn't even mention that the glitch where centres will not sign with your staff and request literal billion dollar contracts that has been in the game for 5+ years. However, the difference is that you can adjust luxury and salary size and even how much the players ask to paid.

Just how much each single feature progresses/regresses, how every stat simulates, player tendencies, change rules and even how valuable selections are to groups. In Madden you are stuck with broken contracts and CPU, in 2k you can help handle that, hell in Madden the cap does not even increase from year to year, have RFAs, tenders, exceptions etc.. The difference between the two could only be appreciated if you have tried to play with the Madden franchise.

What's garbage with development being based on a player's potential? Stat based progression is so backwards and the XP system Madden utilizes is the worst development system I've ever seen while playing football games because the 90s. Players play better since they have better, not the other way round. Madden literally does it opposite as you can. I disagree.

In 2k even if you typical 40 ppg with cheap Mut 21 coins a 57ovr with 66 possible he will constantly just hit 66 overall (unless you send him via untapped potential of course). I get the evaluations are fairly overrated, particularly overall evaluations, but it's a little unrealistic seeing the guy averaging 40ppg at the bottom tier of players for his whole career imo. Production should be the primary factor in development viewing as that is literally the point of developing a player.
