Shoutout to them entirely destroying events

  • Also, there are a lot of Animal Crossing Bells items which are only unsatisfactory because of how non-functional they are. You are lucky if you can even interact with an item, and frequently the effect is far too underwhelming(a prime example is the canon you make it from Gulivarrr, that has a pitiful little'poof' impact in lieu of a canonball).

The arcades could have minigames. Pools and tubs could allow you to lounge in them similar to chairs. I want to be able to actually ride the teacups or even go in the phonebooth.

I really like that now you can freely decorate your island/village, it is a fantastic development for the series that I believe is underappreciated by some people who just seem to gripe about the sport, but it has emphasized exactly how shallow the match's items are.

The fantastic news for the developers is that they have a solid foundation, they just have to put a good deal of work into making it deeper.

Shoutout to them entirely destroying events. You know how previously there'd be a event NPC and you'd do small quests to them and get items in return?

Well hey those items still exist, just now they're unlocked from randomly spawning balloons. Every event, it is only more fucking balloons. I have not bothered to take down a single damn balloon after Easter since the machine is fucked beyond all reason.

I know somebody's gonna make the joke about the horrifying rabbit in NH technically being an event NPC, and that's the kicker--you are totally tricked into thinking he is and that the event will be similar to previous AC games, just for the game to kick you into the dick and let you search balloons for 2 weeks.

Yeah, the balloon events suckbut I truly dislike what they did using all the Fishing Tourney and Bug-Off. On paper, catching lots of bugs and fish to find the gold trophy makes sense, but I don't have hours to dedicate to get 300 in the center of the afternoon. Particularly in a game that's designed to be played just a bit each day. Not to mention it's such a cheap Animal Crossing New Horizons Nook Miles Ticket grind that it takes away from the pleasure.
