High-tops are adorable, but they are not useful in the growth of the foot. They may act as a hindrance to the growth, as they cover the foot wholly, they may not help the ankles or the whole foot to grow. High-tops are not advisable for toddlers. The high tops do not provide much ankle support to the foot, they are considered more as just a fashionable shoe rather than a useful shoe. But with the advent of new shoe technology, companies are coming up with new and industry standard baby shoes with ankle support that help the toddlers to walk as well as help in their growth during the initial phases of their life, the process of growth and development of the foot should not be hindered due to negligence. Parents have to look at the new options available to them for helping their toddlers walk and keeping their feet safe and secure from any injury or damage.
The problem with ignoring ankle support issues is that later on in life when the child plays or runs, he/she may get an ankle injury or strain as the high-tops or tight shoes did not help the ankle and the muscle to completely develop, making it much more prone to injuries and issues. Ankle injuries mostly stem from lack of development of the muscle, this can easily be avoided if the person is provided with the right amount of shoes in the early stages of life during the development phase, these injuries would be easily avoidable in the future.
