The festival of Rakhi is celebrated with great pomp in all parts of India. The traditional knot commemorates the strong bond between a brother and sister. On this day, sisters tie the rakhi thali on their brother's wrist when all the puja items are arranged beautifully on a special plate along with Rakhi called the Rakhi Puja Thali. Along with the rakhi thread, rakhi ki thali also holds significance on the festival. It is decorated with certain puja items such as ghee diya, roli-chawal, sweets, coconut, rakhi. It conveys sister’s sister’s love and respect for the brothers.
