To brew coffee you will need:
aeropress;
a spoon or spatula for stirring the drink, a thin wooden stick for sushi is also suitable;
coffee grinder (optimally - millstone);
kettle with hot water (for gas stove or electric). The longer the nose, the better. An ideal jario teapot with a thin spout starting just a little above the base. If you don’t want to wait until the water cools down, pour boiling water from an ordinary teapot into a ceramic teapot;
coffee vessel: glass serving teapot or regular cup;
a vessel for collecting water, which is used to wash the filter;
thermometer (if the kettle is not equipped with it);
stopwatch;
flat electronic scales.
Before brewing coffee, moisten the paper filter to wash away the smallest particles of cellulose. To do this, the filter is placed in a perforated lid and boiling water is poured. Some do it over the sink, but you can burn yourself this way. It is easier to put the lid on the cylinder, put it on a pre-prepared vessel, fill it halfway with hot water, then force it out with a piston. The piston is not lowered to the end, but so that it does not touch the filter. With this method of washing, the filter is wetted evenly.
There are two ways to brew coffee in an Aeropress: straight and inverted (inversion). Some baristas believe that the taste of the drink does not depend on the method of brewing, others - that with the reverse method, the extraction is better than with the direct one. When brewing a drink in the reverse way, coffee is usually used with a coarser grinding than with a direct one.
direct way
Put the filter in the cover, screw it to the cylinder and pour hot water over it.
Warm up the coffee container.
Put a cylinder on it.
Pour ground coffee into the cylinder.
After shaking the chamber several times, evenly distribute ground coffee over the surface of the filter.
To pre-soak ground coffee, add 40 ml of hot water to it.
Stir the coffee after 20 seconds (within 10 seconds).
Pour 220 ml of water into the brewing chamber, install the plunger.
After 25 seconds, start pressing on the piston. The time for pushing water is 15–30 seconds. Stop when the piston reaches thick and a hiss is heard.
Unscrew the cap and discard the grounds filter.
Instead of pre-soaking, it is allowed to immediately pour ground coffee with hot water and brew for 45-50 seconds.
Reverse way
As in the previous case, put the filter in the lid and rinse.
Remove the cover from the cylinder.
Immerse the piston into the cylinder by 1–2 cm.
Put the inverted Aeropress on the scales.
Pour coffee, shake the Aeropress.
Pour 240 ml of hot water.
Stir coffee for 20 seconds.
Close the cylinder with a lid with a filter.
Turn the Aeropress over after 30 seconds.
Press on the piston for 15-30 seconds.
Unscrew the cap and discard the grounds filter.
After preparing the drink, the Aeropress should be disassembled, washed, all parts should be dried and stored separately until the next use.
I hope you can choose best coffee for aeropress and enjoy the amazing taste
