Orlando
Orlando is home to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. In just two hours from many apartments in St. Augustine, you’ll be right there in the middle of the action. You’ll travel south on Interstate 95 to Daytona Beach before merging onto Interstate 4.
If you’re looking to spend the weekend with Mickey and the Gang or want to ride roller coasters (among other things), Orlando is the place to go. If you’re looking to travel to other parts of the country or the world, the Orlando International Airport will connect you to plenty of destinations.
Jacksonville
The largest city in the State of Florida, Jacksonville is a much shorter drive away from St. Augustine. It’s easily accessible via Interstate 95. If you’re a football fan, you might want to check out the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars in action.
Otherwise, you can explore different sights in the city. This includes the Museum of Science and History, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, or even Fort Clinch State Park. Jacksonville has plenty of places where you can explore.
Miami
This one will be a bit of a hike as it’ll take about less than five hours. If you want to enjoy the vibrant culture, electric nightlife, and so much more - Miami is the place to be. Of course, there’s always the beach as well as so many other things to do.
Miami and much of South Florida is one big area. Be sure to catch some of the neighborhoods each with its own kind of cultural charm. Visit Little Havana if you’re looking to get a taste of Cuban culture (along with some of its delicious dishes).
Whether by land, air, or sea - there is so much you can enjoy in this beautiful city that comes alive both day and night. If we’re being honest, this just might be the real “city that never sleeps” (sorry not sorry, New York City).
