CCS Block 10.2 GPS drone blockers is a mobile electronic warfare system designed to temporarily block enemy satellite communications. Its updates include support for multiple frequency bands and other advanced features, giving operators more flexibility in choosing jamming methods to disrupt enemy satellite communications. This flexibility not only improves the effectiveness of operations, but also enhances the U.S. Space Force's ability to respond in complex battlefield environments.
As the main contractor of the CCS system, L3Harris focused on adopting agile software development methods during the development of Block 10.2 to ensure that the system can quickly adapt to future technological changes and tactical requirements. This approach enables CCS to be quickly updated and improved to maintain its technological advantage when facing new electronic warfare threats.
The users of CCS mainly include the Air National Guard in California, Colorado and Florida, as well as the active Space Force. It is worth noting that some of the members of the Air National Guard who participated in the development of CCS are also civilian employees of L3Harris. This combination of military and civilian not only improves the efficiency of system development, but also enhances the operators' familiarity with the system.
