I recently was speaking to a male friend about how I'd attempted to create a female friend of mine with a male coworker. The male friend stated that he didn't like blind dates because he felt these were artificial and too pressured. He said he would choose to meet someone in an organization setting without knowing the inviter’s intentions, and have it's “natural.” He also said that being the matchmaker has too many risks of backfiring. In regards to a month ago, I wrote a bit on my personal blog lamenting that I might use a buddy or two. I explained that I’m quite fussy about my friends and I’m no Mary Poppins, so it might be hard to find someone to shoot the breeze with over dinner. I made a little list of characteristics I’d want to see in a buddy and I finished the article with “Anyonefeel in this way too?” Boy did they! Finding friends can be hard, without doubt, but it’s even harder basically won’t leave my home. I know how difficult it was for many of the girls in the future out that evening and I’m therefore glad they did. I saw messages and tweets from other women who have been sitting at home wishing they’d chosen in the future. I apologize for missing my post last Tuesday. The fact remains that I found out in
regards to the tragic loss of a buddy just before I sat all the way down to write my article and, properly, it just didn't work out.
