Learning to trust readings from a flaw detection gauge

Hello forum. One thing I struggle with when using new inspection tools is trusting the readings. With a flaw detection gauge, the data looks convincing, but without enough experience it’s hard to interpret results confidently. Did any of you face this issue at the beginning, and how did you overcome it?

Hi. Yes, that’s a very common concern. When we first introduced a flaw detection gauge, we compared its results with known defects and previous inspections to build confidence. Over time, patterns became easier to recognize. Before using it extensively, I also spent time reviewing different device types and principles via flaw detection gauge Understanding how the equipment works internally really helps you trust what you see on the screen.

Thank you, that gradual validation approach sounds reasonable.

Totally normal at the start. What helped me was validating the gauge against known samples and cross-checking with another method until the readings made sense in context. Kind of like a Real Earning APP you trust it more once you’ve tested it and seen consistent results over time.
