I have a two tone yachtmaster that I received last year as a graduation present. When I was in the store buying the watch, the lady told me it was both fashionable and proper to wear the watch loose like a bracelet. All my other watches I've had have been worn snugly and since this was the first time of ever owned a Rolex I thought it was the way to go. It is also the first ladies Rolex in my family so my father agreed with the jeweler's assessment. However, over the past few weeks I've really thought about it. After doing some research online, I've found the biggest con against this is the possibility of stretching out the bracelet over time and possibly increasing mechanical wear from the constant jiggling.
So what's the proper way for a lady to wear a Rolex? Are there any major cons to wearing it loose other than from what I've researched? Currently, my watch is loose enough to turn around on my wrist and I've noticed some scuffing on the bracelet that might have been caused by the loose wear (more likely to hit things when moving around, etc).
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with a woman wearing a Rolex. On the contrary, I think it's cool when a woman has achieved so much in life that she can afford to buy such a watch. For example, recently my friend who is in e-commerce bought a womens diamond rolex and I was amazed at how cool this watch looks in real life.
