Acrylic (plexiglass). The "classic" material CO2 for laser cutting. Cuts very well to a thickness of 10 mm. Well applied and any kind of laser engraving. Perhaps better than all other materials meets the requirements of laser processing. This is mainly due to the fact that during laser exposure there is almost no melting of the material, there is mainly evaporation and removal of vapor by compressed air, which is fed into the processing zone. Noticeable melting of the cutting surface occurs only at low cutting speeds and minimal air flow - just to prevent the material from igniting. Then we have what is called a "mirror edge" of the cut. This effect is less pronounced when working with milk and colored acrylics.
