As just released their top 100 yesterday, with appearing on the list at #51 and #67, respectively.Abel and Stott were once again listed on Baseball Prospectus' list, with Abel gaining ten spots and Stott losing 26. The Phillies' 2021 MLB Draft first-round selection Andrew Painter was included on the list as well.RHP Mick Abel (no. 41)Abel, the 20- Corey Dickerson Jersey year-old, 6'5" right-hander, was ranked at #41 on Baseball Prospectus' list. Abel was selected 15th overall by Philadelphia in the 2020 MLB Draft out of Jesuit High School in Portland, OR.Even with his 2021 season cut short due to injury, Abel still impre sed with the Phillies' Low-A affiliate Clearwater Threshers through 14 starts. He posted 66 strikeouts in 44.2 innings pitched, for a 13.3 strikeouts per nine. Overall, he finished the season with a 4.43 ERA and 1.21 WHIP.As Abel keeps climbing up in the top 100 rankings, this is promising news for Philadelphia, with the hard-throwing Jeff Locke Jersey righty believed to be their ace of the future.RHP Andrew Painter (no. 82)Painter was Philadelphia's first selection in the 2021 MLB Draft with the 13th pick. The 18-year-old was drafted out of Calvary Christian High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.Scroll to ContinuePainter impre sed during the summer after his freshman year at Calvary Christian, where he was apart of the USA Baseball 15U National Team in Panama, earning a Gold Medal and being named to the All-World team.In 2019 as a sophomore, he went 7-2 with a 1.43 ERA over 53.2 innings, leading Calvary Christian to the 4A state championship game. Before the season was cut short in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Painter continued his tear, striking out 33 batters over 15 innings and allowing just one run. Prior to his draft selection, the 6'7" righty finished his senior season in 2021 with a 6-1 record, 0.38 ERA, and 93 strikeouts in 47 innings. This earned him the Jorge Alfaro Jersey 2021 Florida Gatorade Player of the Year honor.After being drafted, he was a signed to the FCL Phillies of the Florida Complex League, where he started four games, allowing four hits and striking out 12 in six innings. Painter has a strong pitch arsenal, with his fastball touching the 92-95 range, a solid changeup, slider, and curveball. Painter also has the ability to paint (no pun Neil Walker Jersey intended) all four quadrants of the zone. That being said, Painter has a long time to go until he is MLB ready, with his ETA being 2025.SS Bryson Stott (no. 93)By now, Stott is a name that most Phillies fans are familiar with. The 24-year-old shortstop is expected to make his MLB debut at some point during the 2022 MLB season. In the minors and Arizona Fall League in 2021, Stott dazzled offensively. In 112 games between A, AA, and AAA, Stott batted .299 with a .876 OPS, 16 home runs, 26 doubles, 65 walks, and Miami Marlins Jersey 49 RBI. As a member of the Peoria Javelinas in the Fall League, Stott continued this tear. In 119 plate appearances, he clubbed two homers, collected 31 RBI, and 24 walks, all while hitting to the tune of .318/.445/.489. His impre sive fall campaign earned him a spot on the Fall Stars Game roster.Philadelphia's hope for their 14th overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft is that he can solidify their shortstop position once and for all. One of the most important positions on the diamond has been the Phillies' kryptonite since Jimmy Rollins departed from the team in 2014.
