Regulators in Europe have approved Microsoft's $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, giving the technology giant victory at a time when the deal is being fought in other countries. In a statement, the European Commission claimed that even though the merger would lessen competition in some markets, particularly the rapidly growing market for cloud gaming services, Microsoft's concessions were enough to ease any antitrust worries.
