Highland Park was founded in Orkney, Scotland in 1798. It’s the oldest distillery on the island of Orkney and one of only two distilleries that still produce single malt whisky there today. The other is Scapa Flow Distillery which produces what they call “Island Malt.”
Highland Park was also the first distillery to be built on the island of Orkney; it has been an integral part of Scottish history since its inception over 200 years ago–and for good reason: Highland Park makes some incredible whisky!
Located in the Orkney Islands, Highland Park distillery is one of the most remote and isolated whisky producers in Scotland. It’s also one of the oldest–the distillery was founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson.
