On September 12, 2009, a role-playing game called Pokemon SoulSilver Rom was made available in Japan. The mechanics of Pokemon SoulSilver Rom are similar to those of their predecessors. The gameplay can be seen from an overhead third-person perspective, much like all other Pokemon games. It has a field map and a battle screen where the player can move to the protagonist. Users can configure their party, items, and gaming preferences using a menu. The player can use Pokemon Balls to catch more Pokemon.
