Kobe Bryant’s fifth Kobe Shoes and final title is arguably his most memorable. Bryant was on a mission after losing to the Boston Celtics during the 2008 Finals by beating the Orlando Magic in five games in 2009 and then looking to avenge his loss in the 2010 Finals. As Kobe locked up his fifth championship in Game 7 against the C’s, some of his most memorable colorways came to fruition as a result. The Nike Zoom Kobe 5 “Big Stage” became immortalized along with Bryant’s fifth ring. Later on, Nike gifted a special Nike Zoom Kobe 5 “Parade” during the celebration that took place in Los Angeles. Now, as the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 gets the retro treatment, the “Big Stage” and “Parade” colorways are coming together. In split fashion, the “Big Stage” takes over the right side of the shoe with its simple white and gold combination that is etched in the memory of Lakers fans everywhere. On the other side of the shoe, the “Parade” colorways comes into play but in black rather than the blue that Kobe wore back in the day.
Paul George and Nike will be kicking off his 4th signature shoe with a collaborative colorway as we bring you an official look at the purple PG 4 Gatorade pair dropping next week. The PG 4 comes covered in a purple and black liquid-inspired mesh construction on the upper along with orange laces underneath the new shroud upper. Additional details include the signature Gatorade “G” logo on the tongue, purple Swooshes on the lateral side panels with water droplets, teal Swooshes on the medial side panels, the PG logo by the toe, and purple and green on the midsole/outsole.
The colourways keep coming in for the KD 13 following its official unveiling earlier this month. And this ‘Home Team’ rendition really hauls in the hues, sporting a multicoloured sole unit that packs serious abstract vibes. Things stay more simple up top, with a black and white combo allowing the sole unit to take centre stage, save for another multicolour hit hidden around the ankle collar.Pairs of this colourful crep are set to hit KD 13 and selected Swoosh stockists on May 1.
Kyrie Irving’s sixth signature shoe continues to impress, and while we’re still waiting to see heat on the NBA’s hardwood, we can still look forward to some great Kyrie 6 pickups over the coming months.Covering the uppers in vintage Nike branding, the latest Kyrie 6 is built with white mesh and tumbled leather. Meanwhile, the thick, embroidered Swoosh and throwback pink ‘Nike’ text on the lateral panels join an in-your-face pinwheel logo on the medial.
Off the court, Harden and the Adidas team linked up with designer Daniel Patrick to give the model some added flair with a friends and family exclusive colorway. Set to be worn by Harden on Nov. 1, the Daniel Patrick colorway will serve as the introduction for a wider collection between Adidas and the designer in 2020."The process to create the Harden Vol 4 was a true collaboration with the Adidas design team that allowed me to voice my creativity and to blend different ideas into one shoe that would showcase both my style of play on the court and my sense of style walking out of the tunnel," Hrden said in a press release. "Daniel Patrick has been setting trends with his use of bold looks and bright colors, so partnering with Daniel was the perfect way to highlight the design of the Vol. 4 and bring sport, fashion and culture together."
