The issue, according to Brack's admitting, was an issue which could have been handled better. But in the midst of WOW WOTLK Classic Gold this controversy, and afterward, it's the developer's perspective and the history that he that he highlights when asking supporters to trust in him and the studio.

While Brack admits the messaging could have been clearer, he still has faith in World of Warcraft : Immortal as a game and believes that it is a true representation of Blizzard's values in the same way they always were and will always remain. And not only that but he believes that the Blizzard of today is a reflection of its spirit from the same company that created World of Warcraft , WoW, StarCraft, and the numerous other games that are part of its library.

Before the final event season of the World of Warcraft League season and BlizzCon 2019. we talked with Brack about the reaction the game received to World of Warcraft : Immortal and the conservation of the company's name, and his hopes for Blizzard.

We told ourselves that we weren't going to attempt it. In the first quarter of the year, we kind had a clear idea of the best way to accomplish it. The announcement at BlizzCon was one of my greatest moments of my career. It was quite unexpected. It was an event that no one had thought that we would do because of our comments about it.

It's been a bit of a all the way back, which was almost two years ago and just to observe the sheer amount of enthusiasm and enthusiasm, and the large number of fans returning, both people who have played the game prior to, as well as people who had never really experienced what the early days really like ... This phrase is a resounding success however it's not enough. It's an incredible experience and extremely rewarding to witness the excitement of the fan base and feel the community unified like that. It's been a gratifying professional experience, without doubt.

So taking an honest look at the way you came up to this point. What were your goals and what were the most important aspects you identified prior to taking on this post of leadership at Blizzard?

I think that the thing that was most important -- and which I'm pretty sure it's the reason Mike [Morhaime, co-founder and the former president of WOW WOTLK Classic Gold Blizzardchose me for the job was the fact that Blizzard is a truly developer-led company, and that the products and the game-focused focus we have (are) present across all leadership levels, and is extremely important and extremely robust.
