In order to spread global awareness and plead for support on behalf of those who have suffered because of the Rio Doce tragedy, Gorete Milagres and Domenico Domenico Pugliese made this documentary: “Rio Doce (Sweet River) - 60 Days Later.”
Gorete and Domenico joined forces with Maria Inês Moraes, the Founder of the Da Terra Brasil Foundation, a non-profit organization based in New York City. The foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of impoverished communities in Brazil and providing care and resources for the elderly and physically disabled in need. Together, they will be working on raising funds to help the numerous victims of the Rio Doce tragedy who are still suffering its consequences and living in great despair.
