Chicago has the bluest waters outside of the Caribbean. Due to this location along Lake Michigan, Chicago is lucky to be home some amazing beaches and views of the crystal blue water. Another thing that makes our unique city great is our 37 movable bridges that spread across the Chicago River.
As already said,Chicago is home to the top rated museum in the entire world, the Art Institute of Chicago. But that's not even our biggest claim to fame. We have the Field Museum, America's first ever Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Museum of Science & Industry.
Chicago is centrally located in the United States (unlike New York, Los Angeles, and other big cities). Chicago has magnificent architecture, and the greatest skyline. Chicago has Lake Michigan with its numerous beaches and parks. And Lake Michigan water is some of the best drinking water.
The reason Chicago is cheap is simple, it's because it used to be a more populous city and the population has declined somewhat, meaning there's lots of extra housing left (supply) and now there's less demand then there was. Thus, one can get it cheaper. Chicago. City of blues and jazz, rich in history, art and culture, Chicago is one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S. Though perhaps less renowned than New York, Los Angeles or San Francisco, the city of the Blues Brothers is nonetheless a wonderful urban center well worth a visit.
Chicago is a more livable city. It's less dirty, less noisy, less crowded and yet still has that world city vibe like New York with first rate museums, orchestras and restaurants, as well as canyon-like streets lined with skyscrapers and exciting hustle and bustle.
As of June 2019, Chicago ranks 11th in terms of average rental prices in large American cities. This means Chicagoans pay relatively low rents for a major city (especially compared to San Francisco, where the average rent is a staggering $3,700).
