Now with four seats! An extra pair of passengers can now enjoy track days with you in the 454bhp Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale. Lucky them.
Maserati has unveiled its range-topper at Geneva 2013. It's a plusher, four-seat version of the stripped-back, lightened GranTurismo MC Stradale. Inspired by the Maserati Trofeo champ cars, it's sporting a carbon fibre bonnet with central air intake and new 20" forged alloys.
Its gargling 4.7-litre V8 masterpiece makes sure the 0-60mph dash is taken care of in well under 5 seconds. You are left in charge of swapping cogs with the MC Race Shift six-speed robotised manual 'box all the way up to 188mph. Thankfully, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes mean all this performance can all be slowed in time for hairpin bends. And Pelican crossings.
For this amount of money, Maserati is up against stiff competition from the Aston Martin
Vanquish, Porsche 911 S and Mercedes-Benz SL63AMG. Backed by some Italian flair, we're sure it'll steal more than a handful of sales. Just beware when the neighbours ask to go for a 'quick spin'; you no longer have the excuse of it being a strict two-seater...
