Chevrolet and GM Design Chief Ed Welburn - along with Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Nicola Peltz, and Jack Reynor, among others - starin the highly anticipated summer blockbuster film Transformers 4: Age of Extinction which made itsAmerican premiere in New York City on Wednesday, June 25 and will be in theaters on Friday, June 27.
The Chevrolet vehicles in producer Michael Bay's fourth installment of the iconic film franchise are the:Camaro TF4 Concept (Bumblebee), Corvette Stingray (which converts into Autobot Crosshairs), Trax,and the Sonic RS - which is transformed into a Rally Car.
GM Design Chief Ed Welburn makes his big screen acting debut in a Transformers 4 scene shot in hisoffice at the GM Design Center. In addition to the GM Design Center, the film makes extensive useof GM facilities as settings, including the Milford Michigan Proving Ground, and the Delta TownshipAssembly Plant.
For the latest installment, Michael Bay asked the design team at GM to redesign Bumblebee to give himan updated look with a specific focus on making him look more aggressive and muscular.
