Tip #1 (from our friends at the Healthy Monday Campaign): Make your workout an appointment!
Look at your schedule & make time 3 days a week to fit in some physical activity. You are the boss of this appointment so do not cancel. Take your health and fitness seriously and make it a priority.
Tip #2: Find ways to burn more calories
Instead of roaming around the parking lot looking for the closest parking spot, park farther away on purpose so that way you have to take more steps to get to your destination. Limit the amount of time spent in front of the T.V. and if you must watching a show, do some exercises during the commercial breaks. Instead of taking the elevator or escalator, take advantage of the extra leg toning opportunity and take the stairs.
Tip #3: Plan it out
Plan your meals, just like you plan everything else in your life. Try These healthy snack options because food is fuel and you never want to be hungry and without a healthy options
- Scoop of protein powder in a shaker cup (just add water and shake when ready to drink)
- Apple
- Banana
- Bag of raw, unsalted almonds
