Speaking for everyone involved, we would like to thank everybody who has supported us in good cheer for your beautiful and generous comments! We appreciate it so much and are hopeful you enjoy.
In regard to questions so often asked, believe it or not the school had nothing to do with covering the expense for this show. Ticket sales, fundraising and sponsors covered the cost and with the outstanding support of our community, it was a success.
Rodgers and Hammerstein Theatricals have made the rights to The Phantom of the Opera available to schools in the U.S. since 2010. You'll find a playlist on this channel entitled "how did they do that?" answering a few other questions about this production.
You may notice the lyrics are changed in a few songs. The school was indeed issued music with different lyrics in comparison to what has been recorded in the past by professionals. A replacement for Monsieur Andre' into Madame Anna has been made as there are many more females in our music program than males and the director is simply a visionary. This is a high school orchestra with a few string positions played by MSU students.
Again, our sincere gratitude and thanks!
