For the red velvet cake I doubled the recipe that I normally use to make red velvet cupcakes. The recipe tutorial for the cupcakes can be found here, including the cream cheese frosting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwXparFWFpw
The tip I used: 9127 tip, which is just a gigantic petal tip really.
The Gel food colour used is Sky Blue by Americolour.
Quick Tip, one mistake I did in this video (which I didn't show) was try to push the doll into the cake without making a big enough hole to fit her... this caused my cake to crack from the top outwards and changed the shape completed. What I then did was place her in the freezer for about 10 minutes, just enough time for the outside buttercream to harden. That way I could press the cake back together into shape. While this fixed the cake cracking problem, it did cause the buttercream pleats to become flat looking where I needed to press down. Shattered!!! But it doesn't look so bad anyway, just wish I had cut enough of a space for her to fit into the cake. I give you this tip so you can avoid the mistakes I have made ;)
Hope you guys enjoyed this one! It had been a request from a while ago, so I'm happy I finally got round to it :) Thanks guys for all your requests! I will be working on more in the coming weeks.
