Avenida Paulista is one of the main avenues in the city of São Paulo. Considered one of the main financial centers of the city, as well as one of its most characteristic tourist spots, the avenue reveals its importance not only as an economic hub, but also for its cultural and entertainment centrality.
It houses a large number of corporate offices, banks, consulates, hotels, hospitals, scientific and cultural institutions, such as MASP and Sesc Avenida Paulista, and educational institutions, such as the traditional Colégio São Luís and Escola Estadual Rodrigues Alves.
In the leisure area: large malls and a huge diversity of places to shop, from Shopping Paulista and Cidade de São Paulo, to street vendors.
Every day, along Av. Paulista, thousands of people move from all over the city and beyond. It is one of the places in São Paulo with the greatest possible cultural diversification. Furthermore, as an avenue it is an important road axis in the city, connecting important avenues such as Dr. Arnaldo, Rebouças, 9 de Julho, Brigadeiro Luís Antônio, 23 de Maio, Rua da Consolação and Avenida Angélica.
Around 5,000 people also reside on Avenida Paulista.
