Welcome to the world of Bedtime Mafia, also known as Dj Mafia or BTM! Born on November 18, 1983, this Portuguese music enthusiast and record collector hails from Leça da Palmeira, and his passion for music knows no bounds.
While Bedtime Mafia is currently delving into the realms of reggae music, he has explored a wide range of genres throughout his career, including rock, hip-hop, jazz, and drum & bass. His love affair with music began at a young age, igniting a lifelong pursuit of collecting records. During his teenage years, he delved into music production and DJing, honing his skills and expanding his musical horizons.
Bedtime Mafia's journey took an exciting turn when he was invited to join the Portuguese hip-hop band "Brigada" from Famalicão. This experience deepened his involvement in hip-hop, turntablism, and scratching, culminating in live shows with the band and subsequent DJ sets in intimate venues across northern Portugal.
Even after the band disbanded, Bedtime Mafia's DJ career continued to thrive, marked by a spirit of experimentation and a humble approach. His focus shifted from technical perfection to the art of blending the new with the old, seamlessly merging diverse genres and styles, all while keeping the fun alive.
Now, Bedtime Mafia embarks on a new venture: sharing his reggae sets on YouTube. Inspired by channels like "Tropicante" and "My Analog Journal," he decided to try his hand at creating his own content. Drawing musical inspiration from renowned sound systems like Supersonic and Pow Pow Movement, as well as influential DJs such as Dj Derek and David Rodigan, Bedtime Mafia invites you to join him on a captivating journey.
