Fantastic FAQ, answers a whole lot of my initial doubts

  • Personal speculation: PSO2 is being ported into PSO2 Meseta the NGS motor to keep players occupied between NGS content releases. No new content will probably be released to it out of makeup, of which will all be obtained/ported from NGS events/scratches to have folks to perform that. It is going to be eliminated after a couple of years after all of the players have migrated over and the only people in the PSO2 blocks are diehards holdouts/nostalgia. Probably. It's a new game so chances are similar to any Online RPG the first release won't have much about an endgame for those players who hit max level on day 1. It will be nice to just switch blocks anytime I wanna hit up an older UQ though. There's never a reason to not see magatsu.

Fantastic FAQ, answers a whole lot of my initial doubts.

Gosh, this looks so complicated. On the 1 hand, kudos for keeping the original game intact so there will not be a riot over fluctuations people do not like. However on the other hand, since they are remaking base PSO2 visuals anyhow, I wish they would only go 100% and synchronize character models entirely. Giving old players some free style items and unlocks would be sufficient to bribe everyone to take the new system.

Synchronizing 100% character models does not seem easy. The problem is that the old outfits and layer wear are modeled to fit the older pso2 body. That is not likely to happen. Well, I mean that I'd be willing to shed a certain proportion of those makeup to cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta keep things intact around versions. As long as there's a continuous feed of cool new things to replace it, I do not mind. I constantly rotate out my old appearances anyway. As long as the character versions translate 1:1 it will still feel just like mine.
