How To Track a Phone Without Them Knowing – The Best Apps In Th

  • If you are like most of us, you’re probably using a phone or two that has a built-in GPS (or two or three). It is a simple, low-cost way to get directions while on the go.

    The Best Apps For Tracking Phones And People

    But there are a lot of other uses for it. For example:

    • As a backup GPS in case your “real” GPS goes down (blame an out of range antenna!)
    • To track the location of your kid so she doesn’t run off and leave her backpack somewhere (this works great for her!)
    • As an emergency beacon, giving you extra time to find help if your phone is stolen or lost (really useful for last minute runners)

    There are many more. Use the above at your own risk!! Of course, we can’t promise that these will work 100% of the time, but we know from our experience that they work very well 90% of the time! If they don’t work perfectly, just let us know!

    App #1 – TheTruthSpy

    TheTruthSpy is a free, open-source app that allows you to track a phone without them knowing and it's very convenient.

    The app was created by a Craigslist user who found that it’s easy to track a phone number via their IP address and then send the information to you, so you can avoid service fees and time delays.

    TheTruthSpy is similar to CensorMe, which currently allows you to report spam and phishing emails. The difference between these two apps is that TheTruthSpy only tracks phone numbers while CensorMe tracks email addresses.

    App #2 – mSpy

    mSpy is a free app that allows you to track how many people are using your phone and how much data they are downloading. It’s a great app for any business that wants to control what apps their users have installed and where they download them from.

    It’s also useful for parents who want to know if their kids are using the Internet, or if their students have downloaded an app through their school district’s Wi-Fi network. You can even get alerts if someone is using your phone (e.g., by use of GPS or location services), so you know when a child is using your phone without you knowing it.

    In other words, mSpy will allow you to make sure your child doesn’t have Internet access without you knowing about it, or that your client doesn’t download an inappropriate app off the Internet without getting caught (e.g., playing porn on the company network).

    App #3 – uMobix

    A few weeks ago, a friend of mine, who is also a developer, asked me if I knew of any apps that would allow him to monitor the location of his phone when he is not actively using it. He was worried that someone might try and track him while he was at home or in his office, recording his movements and so on.

    I suggested on the phone app suggestions forum that he should try uMobix. It turns out that uMobix is one of the most popular tracking apps for mobile devices. Its parent company, Mobix Labs , has been around since 2008 and is one of the pioneers in creating software for tracking mobile users . So what is uMobix? uMobix is an app that monitors your position every second (with GPS) from your smartphone's built-in GPS positioning system . Monitoring your whereabouts allows you to:

    • Find out where you are at any time;
    • Find out where you've been;
    • Know if someone has been watching you;
    • Find out who you're talking to;

    The main features available with uMobix include:

    •  Monitoring: uMobix can display a map showing where your phone takes its photos each second. This data doesn't show exactly where you were but it provides a fairly accurate representation of where you are at any given moment. It works well enough as a general tool to track your location but there are some limitations:

    •  It only reports GPS coordinates (whether or not they’re accurate), it doesn’t report 3G or 4G data coming from your phone, nor does it show which apps are open on your device. Other than those limitations, it’s pretty good . You can get very precise information about your location using uMobix , though this isn't an exact science and even when things line up perfectly, there will be times when some inaccuracies creep in – especially if you're walking around with another app running on top of it all (e.g., Google Maps). Still, I find this feature useful enough to keep using uMobix . You can disable this feature from settings if needed.

    Conclusion

    We have come across a few different ways of tracking someone by cell phone number without them knowing, and it is usually something done for business reasons (for example, to verify the sale of a product or to make sure you didn’t miss something).

    The first way is called “cell phone tracking”. This involves receiving some information on the phone, then sending an SMS message with the IP address of the person you want to track. The SIM card has to be removed from the phone and put into another one. If it is done right, this method will work.

    The second method involves getting data off the SIM card and putting it into a program which then traces the person’s network connections over time. This way, it is possible to determine when they are at home and when they are at work. This can be very useful if you need to know what their working hours are. However, this method too will only work if you have some kind of reliable hardware on hand that can record activity on a regular basis (the kind that uses GPS).

    The third method involves using software that will then log phone activity in an automated way (a good example being Webtrends). It works best for people who constantly use their phones; otherwise, these kinds of programs are very slow and won’t be able to keep up with progress accurately enough (think of all those Facebook status updates you get every day!).
