  • Dirk Nowitzki will appear on the cover of NBA 2K22 MT Coins the "75th Anniversary Edition" together with the incredibly talented athlete Kevin Durant and the all-time scoring leader Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The magazine publisher "2K" will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of the North American NBA league with three athletic and, each of them more than two meters tall, giants of basketball.More companies are getting involved with the NBA 2K League.

Sponsors are more and more attracted by the NBA 2K League. This season, 14 of NBA 2K League's partners in marketing were part of the partnership. These partnerships included five brand new ones with GameStop and Jostens as well as SAP, SAP, Tissot and Tissot. DoorDash was the presenting sponsor for the NBA 2K League Playoffs & Finals.

Esports provides a tremendous commercial possibility because it has an enthusiastic fan base. Donohue declares that the fan base is so passionate that brands are able to attach themselves to the sport. "Our average user plays 30 hours a week, video games, and this is an extremely passionate fan base."

Indeed Donohue puts the basketball league's increase in players down to a mix of companies that recognize esports as an emerging market, as well as the rapidly growing interest from fans. "I think that was already happening and that the rise in the amount of engagement from fans just kind of puts gasoline in the fire. I believe it was because of 2K22 MT Buy every brand we talked to about collaborations, they all know they have to be involved in esports, and they're trying to figure out how they can achieve it."

However, for businesses there is an opportunity to risk jumping into an emerging industry such as esports as a former Golden State Warrior and noted tech businessman Andre Iguodala once called "the Wild Wild West".
