The majority of reviews, positive or negative, tell their appreciation for combat, and often call it enjoyable and Lost Ark Gold
rewarding. This is something I mentioned in my first impressions of the game. While it's got a boring plot, something that other Steam reviewers also pointed out, the combat is really the main attraction. Utilizing "hitstops" and huge groups of enemies really helps increase the intensity of the battles over that and other ARPGs. Within Lost Ark you feel super powerful, basically straight from the beginning. This is a nice contrast from how most MMOs perform.
Naturally, many reviews also reference Diablo. It's practically impossible to speak of Lost Ark without doing so. In reality, it could be illegal. Everybody else talks about Diablo in discussions about Lost Ark so I've been doing it, too. It's more safe.Some Steam reviewers point out that the majority the content in Lost Ark is very generic and stale, but that's not right.
You do spend a lot of time collecting things to take to NPCs and repeating the same thing over and over. The numbers do increase and it's fun.Overall It appears that things are going well at Lost Ark. The spike in negative reviewers who complain about being experiencing problems logging on appears to be diminishing since Smilegate together with Amazon added more servers this week. Is it likely that Lost Ark continue to dominate the Steam charts in the foreseeable time? I'm not sure However, based on a large number of these reviews I'd bet on it.
