There are lots of ways for one to increase your gear’s strength in diablo 4 items. From upgrading some armor piece or weapon to enchanting it that has a gem, your gear doesn't have to remain just like when you first received it. However, maybe the best way of powering your gear is always to equip it through an Aspect.
Aspects are passive abilities that could be added to an armor piece or weapon in Diablo 4. These Aspects can be applied to specific gear, determined by what they are and every class has specific Aspects that may only be put on them.
However, additionally, there are universal ones that could be equipped with gear it doesn't matter what class you're using. Fortunately for players, much of your Aspects transfer to your account, so all of the 10 class slots can have access to those Aspects since you unlock them.
To begin acquiring Aspects in diablo 4 items, you must complete a single dungeon. This will unlock the Codex of Power for the character, which is basically where all of the Aspects are held. Currently, in Diablo 4, you can find over 100 different Aspects, with an increase of likely coming following the game's full launches in June 2023.

Usually, the sole gear pieces that may have an Aspect already equipped will probably be Legendary or Unique items. So if you don’t wish to use the gear you have but it comes with an Aspect onto it, don’t salvage or market it. Instead, you can extract the Aspect and employ it again.
To imprint an Aspect onto gear, it will amount to Veiled Crystals, which are rare items that it is possible to receive from salvaging gear or as loot drops. It will even cost a hefty gold sum to imprint an Aspect, so make sure you have the funds.
You should take some time when deciding what gear to imprint an Aspect on, as that may affect your character’s build in its entirety. As long as you’re completing dungeons in Diablo 4, you will usually have a very solid inventory of Aspects to choose from inside Codex of Power.
