I’ve been looking into different options for a construction project, and I keep seeing people talk about on-site work instead of transporting everything back to a shop. It sounds convenient, but I’m still not sure if the quality stays the same. Has anyone worked like that before?
From my experience, the difference really depends on how the work is organized and who’s doing it. We had a project where everything was originally planned to be done off-site, but once we got into the actual process, it became clear that constant adjustments were needed. Transporting parts back and forth just didn’t make sense anymore and was slowing everything down. At that point we switched approach and brought in a team that handled mobile welding directly on location. What surprised me is how much smoother the workflow became. Instead of delays, everything was handled in real time, and the final result didn’t feel compromised at all. If anything, it felt more precise because adjustments were made on the spot.
