Deixando o Windows Server 2003 como Workstation (Desktop)
Muitas pessoas estão migrando do windows XP para o Windows 2003 (pois algumas nem querem saber do Vista ainda devido ao mesmo ser "pesado" em certas máquinas).
Realmente o Windows Server 2003 (tanto a versão para processadores 32bits quanto para os de 64bits) é muito estável e ágil. Apesar de ter sido desenvolvido para servidores (e por isso ser muito estável e praticamente nunca dar erros e problemas) ele está sendo muito utilizado em computadores Desktop.
Muitos já relataram melhora siginificativa nos aplicativos e jogos em geral, alguns vírus não funcionam no sistema e como tem um ótimo gerenciador de memória, o sistema pode ficar por dias ligado e sem precisar ser reinicializado (dádivas de um sistema para servidor, que precisa estar 24 horas no ar e ficar meses sem precisar reiniciar).

1. Entre no Menu Iniciar
2. Clique em Executar e digite "gpedit.msc" (sem aspas)
3. Após clique em Administrative Templates no lado esquerdo, e depois em System
4. No lado direito clique em Display Shutdown Event tracker com o botão direito e depois em Properties
5. Clique em Disabled e depois em OK
6. Feche a janela
