The says that "accessibility features, graphics modes, and quality of life improvements to the game itself" will bring Guerrilla Games' 2017 title to the same standard as its sequel 2022 Horizon Forbidden West.
As reported by MP1st and confirmed by VGC The new character models, lighting, and animations will reportedly be added alongside a suite of accessibility options in the process of balancing both a remake and a remake in the process. Some of these enhancements are included in the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn that was released in 2020, though that game mostly used the same assets as the PS4 edition.
Based on the information Guerrilla Games is also currently developing a Horizon multiplayer title intended for PS5 and PC. Co-op games were planned to be included in Zero Dawn as far back as 2014 according to the sources of VGC, but the elements were dropped to allow for other aspects to the game were concentrated on. This idea isn't entirely taken off for the mainline series and it could be incorporated through Horizon 3.
Sony is also looking to expand the series into different forms of media. Furthermore, with a Horizon TV show headed to Netflix the next time around FIFA 23 buy Coins , it shouldn't come as unsurprising to see an announcement on the gaming part of the show.
