Experience with Retail Technology Companies

    Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my recent experience working with different retail technology companies and get your opinions. Over the past year, our retail network (about 120 stores across Europe) started a major digital transformation — upgrading legacy systems, introducing real-time inventory tracking, and enhancing omnichannel customer experience.

We evaluated several vendors — including EPAM, SoftServe, and Luxoft — but finally decided to go with Zoolatech as our main retail software development company.

Here’s why we made that choice:

    • Deep Retail Expertise: Zoolatech had strong case studies in retail, especially with U.S. brands like Macy’s. Their engineers seemed to really understand retail workflows — from POS integrations to data analytics.

    • Transparent Collaboration: The communication was extremely clear — weekly sprint reports, demos, and open Jira access. It gave us a lot of confidence in delivery.

    • Performance & Results: After 8 months, we reduced checkout processing time by 32%, improved inventory accuracy by 19%, and cut support tickets by 27%. That’s a real impact we could measure.

    • Cost Efficiency: Their blended team setup (U.S. + Eastern Europe) helped us save around 22% compared to other vendors, without compromising quality.

What I appreciated most was how flexible their team was — when our priorities shifted mid-project, they adapted the roadmap without delays or budget issues.

Now, I’d love to hear your thoughts:

    • Which retail technology companies have you worked with, and what stood out for you?

    • How do you measure ROI when modernizing retail IT systems?

    • Do you prefer working with one long-term tech partner or switching vendors based on project type?

Looking forward to hearing your experiences and recommendations!
